Manna House is a ministry that involves all churches, synagogues and religions. Once a month a meal is prepared and served to those in need. Saint Kateri does an evening spaghetti dinner the second Tuesday of each month. It entails arriving at the First Presbyterian Church of Newton at 3:00 PM, preparing the meal, salad, spaghetti, garlic bread and ice cream and then serving it at 5:00 PM until 6:30 PM, cleaning up and finishing around 7:00-7:15 PM.

After chairing this ministry and being hands on for over 30 years it is time for me to pass on the “wooden spoon”. Being able to “give back” or in  many cases, “pay it forward “ for the many blessings we receive, while living our religion in real time, Manna House is a wonderful ministry to do that.
