The LITURGY COMMITTEE is a gathering of representative members of our Parish Community. Its membership is made up of representatives from various liturgy-related ministries including the assembly of those who worship.
The PURPOSE is to work together to support healthy liturgical experiences for our parish community. With the parish staff, worship celebrations are planned. Opportunity for ongoing education is the areas of worship and the Sacrament are part of the process shared by those who serve.
MEMBERSHIP requires no special knowledge but rather a willingness to learn and a genuine desire to make worship real and alive for the parish community.
COMMITTEE responsibilities:
4-6 general meetings for the purpose of learning, reflecting on and reviewing liturgical celebrations.
Membership on a sub-committee to plan specific seasonal celebrations: this group meets twice yearly with the parish staff to plan Sunday celebrations.
To be a channel and sounding board for ideas and evaluations originating from parish membership at large, as well as liturgy committee members and parish staff.
Children’s liturgical events will be coordinated by the Director of Religious Education who will appoint a representative, to serve on the Liturgy Committee.
